In the previous months you have followed our newsletter as we transformed our clients new home into their dream home. Read below for the full story and finished project photographs!

When a South City couple came to Aleto they knew their existing home just wasn’t the fit they wanted for the long term. As they began their search for a new home to renovate they called on Aleto’s experience and expertise. After meeting and discussing ideas, we brought in our trusted partner and real estate agent, Christopher Thiemet with CircaSTL. As a team, we got right to work learning everything the clients dreamed of in their new space and how they planned on living in their home. Christopher then helped find the perfect home in St. Louis Hills that would lend itself well to our renovation process and the clients’ wishes.

With their new home in place, Aleto began designing the new spaces the clients asked for. The existing home photographs show the space before we transformed it.

We started demo on this home by removing shelves, cabinetry, flooring and more. Below are a few photos of the kitchen demo process.

A new chapter in our STL Hills Renovation story started as we begun product selection shopping with our clients. Our designer worked with the clients to find the products that reflect their family traditions and comforts.

Next up on this renovation journey was to uncover the pretty new wood floors. The removal of wallpaper started to make way for new paint colors.

A window was carefully removed in the old dining room to make way for a new doorway leading to the backyard. We framed for new walls in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The electrical and rough plumbing were then installed throughout the renovation. In the photos below you can see the framing work and the drywall being put up in the kitchen and bathroom. This space really started to come to life.

Our designer worked with the homeowners to pick a beautiful hardwood floor stain. Then the floors were stained to a beautiful finish. We covered the floors with protective flooring as we worked to finish the rest of the renovation. The kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanity were brought in and secured into place. Tile in the bathroom started going up and our clients worked with our designer to choose a grout color for the kitchen backsplash.

Now that the floors are finished and the cabinets are set we have installed the countertops.

The final touches were placed on the home as we finished setting tile, installed the plumbing fixtures and hardware.

This STL Hills Renovation is complete!

So, you heard from us about this project; what do the homeowners have to say about the process and their new home?

“When you start a renovation project, you don’t consider that you might gain family members. We felt that way with Aleto, from beginning to end. Patti Aleto helped us find a home that would work for us. Who does that? Patti did. Andrew and Patti met with us on design (being so respectful of our budget), with Andrew and Jaime holding our hands through fixture/product selection. Mike Aleto lead the renovation team of master workmen who I’d trust now to do anything. Mike’s communication with us was continuous throughout the process as he managed his team and subcontractors. Aleto’s master workmen were thoughtful, persistent toward excellence, and yes, fun! Now that they have completed their great work, we miss them all, but we love the home they helped us create.” – The W-H Family
