What is Coming in 2022

Oct 8, 2021

Paint companies have released their colors of the year for 2022 and we are excited for the fresh new color pallets that are emerging! Next year is going to be focused on relaxation and nature.

Sherwin Williams announced that their color of the year, Evergreen Fog, it is soothing, subtle and a perfect shade to freshen up any space. With a calming hue this soft green is simple and versatile. Pair it with colors from nature to create a welcoming space.

Continuing with the green theme, Glidden presents their color of the year Guacamole. A brighter, yet soothing green will bring refreshing energy to your space.

Behr’s 2022 color of the year takes a more soft silvery green-blue hue inspired by sea glass and expressing peace and tranquility. Breezeway can be paired beautifully with white, grey and natural wood tones.

Across the internet we are seeing more searches for calming colors with regrowth and rejuvenation mixed with classic white and black elements.

Overall, 2022 is bringing more natural elements to promote sustainability and energy efficiency. Many homeowners are looking toward eco-friendly materials such as reclaimed wood. Bringing the feeling of the outdoors and nature to interior spaces with color, plants and inviting softer textiles.

With the pandemic lingering in the new year many are looking for multi-functional spaces for work and play. These spaces are being put together with furniture that has integrated technology features. To keep the spaces calming and relaxing less is more. Homeowners are thinking of their spaces for practicality, functionality, and aesthetics. Keeping storage options functional and the spaces clear of clutter will keep a focused mind and keep emphasis on the essential purpose of the room.
